@AllEarsNet We have had a nightmare trying to book ROTR. Staying off site simply can't get it, all last week and yesterday and today. Wait times over 2 hours consistently. Genie plus really not working for this. We are asking why not use a virtual queue?
@sueperkins@Channel4 I Loved this series. Can we please have more @sueperkins@Channel4 . Sue this was so interesting, fantastic and humble exploration of a subject with some hugely insightful points for me. I wonder, are we happier when we are less anchored to our 21st century lives?
@CarolineLucas Progressive coalition. We have no counter to right wing and traditionalist nationalism. Our vote is split across too many partys, we will struggle to regain power in a FPTP system Vs a single Tory party capable of galvanising the traditionalists and nationalist vote
@laemmerbiss @BankUnlimited@asia_mobility@tripperhead Not to mention the additional 2 "blanks" that would still put him seriously ill in hospital with potential for long Covid symptoms which we still don't fully understand. Never understood why people think 2 in 100 is ok odds, they would never take a risk that big with their lives
@2591Kate@PippaCrerar But Kate, when your hospitals are clogged by people who exercised their choice to spread Covid and you or others who choose not to can't access services in an emergency (heart attack, car crash, stroke). The problem is pandemics are about collective responsibility not personal
@EmmaFox62817887@PippaCrerar But..... when I can't get into my local hospital because other people have "chosen" to mix and spread Covid how is that fair? I chose not to, that doesn't stop other selfish people clogging the NHS for others that need it does it
@YwanC@VolumeRose@theoldbloke@kevinsamuel@brianmoore666@carlheneghan The death rate argument never holds up. Deaths lag cases by 2 weeks or so. Correction not ALL East Asian countries have excellent t&t. Lockdown is nuclear option when other measures fail. Some countries do better at other measures
@VolumeRose@YwanC@theoldbloke@kevinsamuel@brianmoore666@carlheneghan Lockdown is crap, unfortunately in the UK now is required. No one is going to do well in a pandemic. The cost now is always going to be less than an ongoing death rate of >5% as a result of allowing exponential growth unchecked + ongoing LTCs for many people in years to come
@YwanC@theoldbloke@VolumeRose@kevinsamuel@brianmoore666@carlheneghan Believe what you want. Hope you never have to be in a position of needing intensive care and not being able to receive it because capacity and capability doesn't exist due to over demand. You would of course have bad outcomes in that situation
@YwanC@theoldbloke@VolumeRose@kevinsamuel@brianmoore666 This does not support your assertion that the NHS wouldn't be overwhelmed. The ranking of restrictions to liberty interventions seem to be highly effective according to their data
