So better option is firstly maximize the other LIMITING FACTORS and then maximize the CO² intake efficiency rather than C0² production (because that has drawbacks like specie-extinction).

Offcourse CO² has a role in crop yield production but it's not the only factor. You cannot neglect the improvements in technology (mechanization, irrigation, precision farming) and moreover most important factor i.e., genetic innovation (breeding disease-resistant varieties).
Crops typically use only a small fraction (~2–10%) of atmospheric CO₂ around them for photosynthesis, because other factors (light, water, nutrients, enzyme capacity) act as LIMITING FACTORS and limit how much CO₂ they can actually fix.
