@14MilesToFrance@Welshcake74 I knew from your first post it would be Christine Baranski. I’m the same: she is one of two women. I would love to be “when I grow up“ I’m dictating brackets (the other being Stockard Channing).
I have tickets which I got as soon as it was announced.
@ganseyyiii Buy a mini fridge (with a freezer shelf) and plug it in your bedroom. Voilà! As many popsicles as you can fit in (& other refrigerated snacks)
@DarthPutinKGB Fond memories of the days when Berlin was itching to start a whole world war when Russia damaged their interests in 1914…
(Only joking…)
@MsVictoria2@SimonCalder That’s great if you live here, know what you’re doing and have planned ahead.
Not so great for incoming visitors who have accommodation booked elsewhere (prob far more pleasant), may have limited English & jet lag, & are certainly not familiar with Heathrow & surrounding areas
@SamanthaBr34541@SandyofSuffolk The couple on the show were presented as having saved their deposit. If they got help (almost certainly the case) it’s misleading to suggest it’s all their own effort
@nypost My great-uncle had ‘toned’ arms like that when he was liberated by the Red Cross from a Japanese POW camp at the end of WW2. They reckoned if it had lasted 1 more month he’d have died.
@Martelll732@HollyBell8 Given the number of conferences and events I’ve been at where those attending are told the event will be videoed and that by attending they are deemed to have given consent, I would say there’s definitely some privacy rules being broken in this case.
@WalkerMarcus WFH isn't not working. If your manager is so pathetic he can't monitor your productivity when you're working from home, then your manager is the one who needs sorting out.
@ElliotES44@janey_wayney13 Trains always slow down coming into a station. Even if they’re not stopping, going at anywhere near full speed could cause accidents with people standing on the platform.
@SarcasticCdow@LaveenLadharam Apart from the ethics of buying flats that were built for people who needed affordable secure accommodation and have created the housing crisis
@SarcasticCdow@LaveenLadharam Buying ex-council flats is a guaranteed way to face extortion on bills. When the LA needs to do repairs and upgrades they sting the leaseholders for as much as they can get. They have to get their money back somehow. And there are fewer rights in consultation on big projects.
@LasallianSean@TypeForVictory I was brought up Catholic, attended Catholic schools and had to do RE O-level. Nearly all the Catholics failed it as we presumed we knew it as we’d been given religion since pre-birth. The atheists/agnostics got A grades because they treated it as a work of literature analysis.
