NEW: Police release footage of man getting sniped in the forehead after holding two people hostage at a Bank of America.

36-year-old Sterling Alavache was shot dead in February by a SWAT sniper in southwest Florida.

The sniper shot through a computer monitor, in between the two hostages and nailed Alavache in the forehead.

The suspect made bomb threats and was holding the hostages at knifepoint.

“When he presented deadly force like that, our SWAT sniper shot and killed the suspect. We were in fear for her life and her safety,” Sheriff Carmine Marceno said.
