A key question for schools looking toward sustainability is "Do we love the mission that God has entrusted to us - or do we love the means we are using to achieve it more?" #FutureReady@epellefsen@eckertjon@LynnSwaner1@matthewlee
After her forehead took the brunt of a fall on the sidewalk, it was a rough morning.
All was well this afternoon when a gift arrived and Emerson was designated as a Future Defender by @dordtuniversity and @DordtPresident !
@d_mulder@converge_summit 100%. After another conference where I was out almost a week earlier this year and an upcoming site visit where I'll be out for a couple of days, I'm still growing into/wrestling with what to go to v. be present at school.
@mnbaseball Hmmm...goal of a unit, yes. On their own, lessons might not be explicit in that goal, but should have a purpose toward the bigger picture. In allowing student reflection, students can hopefully see how those not so fun times did still help them toward the overall goal.
I've been seeing these on my feed lately, all while anticipating (and hoping for) the arrival of my own! Thankful for the way @dordtuniversity stays connected with alumni @DordtEDUC@d_mulder@DordtPresident
A big thanks to @TimElmore for sharing at the @VanLunenCenter conference last weekend and for the book. Started it last night and it's hard to put down. So much great content to dive into!
@d_mulder I met @beim_m in person for the first time over the past few days at Van Lunen. I can see how the two of you get along so well. Both of you engage in discussions with such a good posture. Thankful for the both of you and all of the @DordtEDUC team.
@BrianVerwolf I don't know if I am. The last time with my Van Lunen cohort, which is our first time in person, are the days leading into 2.0, so I'll be out a good chunk of next week. All great opportunities, hard to know how much to go v. stay. Wouldve loved to be where you are now as well
