You can’t force anyone to change. We have a fantasy that if we just explain to someone how they’re hurting us, they’ll want to change. Accountability is an inside job. People must choose it.
Well said! True change comes from within, not from external pressure. Explaining how someone’s actions affect us is important for communication, but ultimately, accountability is a personal decision. It’s a reminder that we can set boundaries and focus on our own growth instead of trying to control others.
“Reparenting Yourself” is not some silly idea.
It is not about pretending to be a child.
It is not about messing with crayons.
It is not about playing dress-up.
Reparenting is deeply healing.
(especially when done right)
Here’s why it works 👇🏼
I really don’t get people who get to their 30s without ever realizing that they’re the one who is responsible for making their own life special. I encounter so many baby adults like this it drives me nuts.
