@IndHydrogeology I hope this is taken seriously. From what I see, in Thane, Maharashtra most of the construction site have their borewells pumping water even when not required and it all goes to waste. Even after getting NOC, this happens. Govt needs to take inspection seriously.

My community in Mumbai used to depend on home grown food in the past & coconuts are an imp ingredient in curry's. These trees gets water from the shallow aquifer. Now more urban paved areas = reduced recharge & WL = less ancestral trees & culture. #Water2me (Photo from my garden)
