Saddened by the results from today's forum, but thank you to @AlexSongCTown and @PresidentP11 for fighting for us on the committee. I will forever believe that our proposal better honors Laura's memory while supporting the community.
I am disappointed to see the lack of attention towards promoting community cohesion in the LACNA proposal. Money isn't the answer to everything! @RealtorRob4#chtown19
1. Mayor Maria Rodriguez dies (suspected foul play)
2. Tiger Herb Shop revealed to have traces of the poison that killed Maria
3. Maria's replacement, Eugene Li, revealed to have colluded on the proposal with the owner of Tiger Herb Shop??????

@theta_tri@ISprofCalu@RealtorRob4 How can students even get there? What cohesion is there? How can you guarantee that minority groups won't be marginalized in choosing which stores populate the market? #chtown19
The Community Engagement Proposal will create long term sustainable jobs through education and mentorship, also making sure that newly created jobs actually go to the people that need them the most! #chtown19
LACNA 4 Laura states they're going to spend about 4 million dollars on paying for personal. At a yearly wage of about $50,000, this only creates about 80 jobs. Unclear how this is going to really create jobs in the community. #chtown19
Proud to announce that La Familia at CalU is fully supporting the Community Engagement Center by offering volunteer labor and hosting fundraisers to ease any sustainability concerns! #chtown19
I am proud to say the Community Engagement Center would represent a monumental step towards creating progressive immigrant reform, while promoting multiculturalism in such a diverse community. Excited to see the impact on affirmative action too! #chtown19
Legal clinics are a huge pull for potential law students - seems like something Cal U administration would be ready to support both with resources and finances #chtown19
In response to some of the more pressing questions about the budget, our proposal is set up to have $6million remaining. That $6million can be set up in an endowment fund which would pay out roughly 5% annually ($300,000) to help sustain our community engagement center. #chtown19
@LACNA_Historic The partnership with CalU is designed to collaborate with students and sustain the community center at a very low cost. 6 million in reserve and yearly revenue from renting the space out is more than enough to sustain! #chtown19
