Because they are devoting resources to preserve the tradition of pageantry and the rich Chinese culture in LA through the annual Miss Chinatown Pageant, I've decided to support LACNA and ΘΘΘ's joint proposal for the night market. 👠👑⛩️
I think you have misunderstood me. I directed that comment toward CalU students who can afford to pay the high cost of tuition, NOT undocumented immigrants or legal immigrants who are new to LA Chinatown. #chtown19
Thank you to the committee for selecting the proposal by LACNA and Theta Theta Theta! We will do our best to vitalize the LA Chinatown community!!! #chtown19
@fix_immigration let's be clear. she called international students who have entrance into a prestigious university in America with an expensive annual tuition privileged. NOT undocumented immigrants #truth
@LACNA_Historic THANK YOU. for addressing the two completely inaccurate and baseless claims that have been made against the Night Market. (1) we SUPPORT small businesses and (2) we do NOT further inequality, we lift up the whole community. #wheresthetruth
One proposal is clearly more sustainable and more well-thought out and practical than another. THAT is what is important here. That the money is going towards something meaningful and impactful.
"When they can't even get their stories straight" -- how can we get our story straight, which IS straight, when we have repeatedly been insulted and doubted by the activists who aren't willing to hear our story or listen to our side?
@HkOcsa This endorsement happened PRIOR to all of the investigations as well as his call to join the committee. No one could have suspected these events would happen.
@ocsaTW@AnnieJiangTheta We are trying to work WITH you and not work against you. We're just asking to have a civil conversation to see how we can work together to satisfy both of our demands.
The hate against our lovely owner of the Tiger Herb Shop is hurtful. Where is the empathy? What if YOU had been framed? How can we ensure due process and conduct a proper investigation?
