"Hey, you didn't wake me up!
- You have an alarm clock.
Yes, but when I throw the clock it stops. You, however, never stop yapping no matter how hard I throw you, thus ensuring the whole wake up process."
He's Peter Kyle, UK Business Secretary. In this BBC Breakfast clip (Naga Munchetty interviewing), two defence ministers (John Healey & Al Carns) just resigned because the government's defence investment plan "falls well short." Kyle admits he hasn't seen the full plan but insists it's good, he's "assured," trusts the PM/Chancellor, and "when you see the plan" everyone will agree the government got it right. Classic evasive non-answer. JK Rowling posted it as ultimate cringe bullshitting that resets the bar for awkward interviews.
@GraniteDhuine Everything is shite.
Everything that matters most in life will sometimes bore you.
But boredom isn’t a sign that you chose wrong. It’s a signal that you have chosen to make something more important than your own momentary pleasure. It’s the hidden fee that comes with Telos.
