An incredible start to the 2023 #UbuntuSummit in Riga, Latvia! Day 1 was filled with inspiring talks, workshops, and unforgettable moments.

🚀 Mark Shuttleworth addressed attendees during the opening plenary, kicking things off and setting the tone for the entire event, while emphasizing the positive, powerful impact of collaboration and contribution in the #OpenSource and #Ubuntu community.

🌙 Randy Packer shared the journey of @Dreamworks ' production path tracer, MoonRay, all the way to open-sourcing it, and the goals and challenges that come with that in the space of #animation.

🔶 Ken VanDine and Oliver Smith took us into the world of #UbuntuCore Desktop, exploring possibilities, applications, and surprising the audience by running the keynote on a preview build.
