Yasmin Anjum Sarwar, 44, the former chief executive and chief education officer at Oxford International College, has been charged with multiple theft and fraud offences worth around ยฃ5 million.
She faces charges including fraud, two counts of theft, two counts of fraudulent trading, possessing criminal property and three counts of transferring criminal property, alongside her husband Nadeem Sarwar, 49.
A third man, Ragu Sivapalan, 39, has been charged with false accounting.
The alleged offences relate to their time at Cardiff Sixth Form College between 2012 and 2016. All three have denied the charges.
A pre-trial review is set for 22 May, with the trial due to start on 21 September at Cardiff Crown Court.
