The three major global threats to population health are non-communicable diseases (#NCDs), infectious disease outbreaks, and environmental degradation.
A recent Lancet Commission provides a set of priority recommendations to address these threats.

This year's #Nobel in Economics has been awarded to three persons, who have shown how technological innovations drive economy. Indeed, it is profound recognition, but are our bureaucrats listening?
I visited the Chittorgarh Fort when I was 10, on a family holiday.
Have never been back.
But I should.
Because when I checked online, it turns out it’s the largest fort in the world!
Approximate Global Ranking:
🥇 Chittorgarh Fort, India ~700 acres (2.8 sq. km)
🥈 Kumbhalgarh Fort, India ~1,100 acres (4.5 sq. km), walls 36 km long
🥉 Nanjing City Wall, China
Yes, Kumbhalgarh is the second largest in the world.
(Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh are fort cities, not boundary walls.
They enclosed self-sufficient communities and were built to withstand sieges, not to demarcate empires.)
And yet, they rarely appear on the ‘must-visit’ lists for global travellers.
They’re not even on the extended Rajasthan “Golden Circuit”:
Jaipur → Jodhpur → Jaisalmer → Udaipur.
We need to tell their stories differently.
“A kingdom that refused to yield. A fort that never fell.”
Illustrate these stories through specialised experiences:
sunset drives along the ramparts, private storytelling sessions, and expanded comfortable accommodation.
We already have a Club Mahindra at Kumbhalgarh, and we’re pleased to have helped build its popularity.
Perhaps it’s time for one at Chittorgarh too.

We had a lab movie screening today of @PictureaSciFilm Gender bias is rampant in STEM but depending on who you talk to some will say it’s no longer a problem 🤷🏻♀️ I say drop what you’re doing & watch this if you’re in Science in any way/form/level. BECOME AWARE. It starts there.
