So, according to you, the FBR should first ask tax defaulters for permission before recvring outstanding tax from their bank accounts? That's not how the law works.However, as per law, the FBR issues two recovery notices before taking action to freze a taxpayer's bank accounts.

After this action of FBR my friend flew to Switzerland, opened a bank amount there and is transferring all his cash there.

Lol, commenting without knowing Pakistan's tax laws doesn't help. The FBR is legally empowered to recover outstanding tax dues through banks where the law permits. If anyone believes the action was unlawful, the proper course is to challenge it through the appellate process.

If there is a dispute between FBR and an individual, the FBR should never be granted authority to act as it did in this case unless it has followed legal process and obtained a court order. How can they justify ordering banks to transfer funds from individuals accounts without judicial authorization? Is FBR an authority to declare that person is guilty of crime or courts do that? Such actions undermine public trust in both the banking system and the FBR.
