As of Thursday, humankind has used up more natural resources than can be renewed this year.
The Earth’s natural systems cannot keep up with our demands.
Time to rethink the way we produce & consume - making sustainable choices.

We're outraged and heartbroken by reports that at least 15 Palestinians, including eight children, have been killed in an Israeli strike. They were queuing for nutritional supplements outside of a clinic.
Nowhere is safe in Gaza. Project Hope, an aid group who ran the clinic, say it was "a place of refuge... where people bring their small children, women access pregnancy and postpartum care, people receive treatment for malnutrition".
The UK government must stop being complicit in these horrors by suspending all arms transfers to Israel. They must hold the Government of Israel accountable for the harm children have faced, as is demanded by their obligations under international law.
1 in 3 people in #Gaza goes days without food.
People are starving, while we have food just across the border.
WFP is ready to deliver, but we need open entry points, safe routes, and the conditions to reach every community in need.
A ceasefire is desperately needed.
This is the heartbreaking reality inside Gaza’s hospitals today: four newborns crammed into a single incubator, simply because there aren’t enough neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) to meet the overwhelming need. This tragic overcrowding is not just a matter of missing equipment — it’s a direct consequence of the relentless war on Gaza and the suffocating blockade that has crippled the entire healthcare system.
For months now, hospitals have been struggling to secure enough diesel fuel just to keep their generators running, rationing precious electricity hour by hour. Doctors and nurses, already overwhelmed by the constant influx of casualties and the mounting medical needs, face impossible choices: who gets the warmth of an incubator, who must share it with three other fragile lives, and who is left waiting.
The siege has turned routine care for premature babies into a life-or-death struggle. No child should be born into a world where bombs and blockades decide whether they live or die. Yet this is the cruel reality for Gaza’s tiniest and most vulnerable, trapped in an endless cycle of war and deprivation they did nothing to cause.
“I still have shrapnel inside my body that they couldn’t remove.”
Abed Al Rahman, 13, recounts to UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder what happened at an aid distribution point in Gaza.
Humanitarian aid must be delivered with neutrality, independence and impartiality.
While the world celebrates Eid, Israel is bombing, displacing and starving Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip. Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is a war crime.
The global community must act now to unconditionally lift the blockade and stop Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
In #Gaza, families are hanging on by a thread. Children go to bed hungry — again and again.
Watch WFP’s Martina explain why food must reach them — now.
A meaningful and uninterrupted flow of aid into #Gaza is the only way to prevent the current disaster from spiraling further.
The least needed is 500-600 trucks every day managed through the UN including UNRWA.
The people of Gaza cannot wait any longer.
“I used to play, go to kindergarten, and we would go to the sea,” remembers 7-year-old Miran from Gaza
She’s receiving treatment after being injured when her home was hit amid the ongoing war.
A lasting ceasefire needs to be reinstated now for children.
Despite the challenges, UNRWA continues to provide health services in #Gaza.
Three health centres have reopened, with care now available in a total of nine locations.
So far, UNRWA teams have:
➡️delivered 300,000 consultations
➡️supported 19,000 high-risk pregnant and post-natal women
➡️treated 11,000 dental patients
➡️provided physiotherapy to 5,500 people
Access to healthcare is essential. UNRWA remains committed to those in need.

A new UNICEF report reveals there’s a decline in children’s mental health, nutrition and education after the war in Lebanon.

We are worried about Dr Hussam abu Safiyeh’s fate..
Israeli occupation arrested him!
Then, it denied arresting him!
Then, it acknowledged arresting him and said he us being investigated for his links to Hamas!
