@ConsciousFilth 100%. It is very telling when people get into marriages and parenthood who loved you for you, and who just loves you to be an audience member to witness their milestones.
What married parents don't get is how much fucking money they expected their friends to shell out for their bach parties, bridal showers, engagement dinners, wedding weekend itself, baby showers, birthday parties... the list goes on. God forbid one single childless lady wants to celebrate ONE DAY FOR HERSELF.
@Just_Monet I think you nailed it tho. There's obviously missing information here which is she is clearly a flake in general and wants the internet to tell her she's a great mom and her friend is putting undue pressure on her. Not gonna happen here!
Average Protestant puritanical nonsense.
These are the same people who complain about the low birth rate lol.
So glad I'm a raunchy Italian Catholic born to people who love to drink, gamble, party, stay up all night, and submit to the authority of a loving creator.
JOY is the frequency of the universe!
This is a great point. Romantic comedies glamorize sex and partying. Everyone is having a great time. Who needs God? Meanwhile the message of horror is that demons are real, human evil exists, and this leads viewers naturally to ask what is the remedy.
