NEW PROGRAM ALERT: We are excited to launch IOP's newest program, the Student Policy Collaborative. An off-shoot from the Civic Engagement Action Coalition. SPC exists to put student policy solutions into action through partnerships with UNC Admin and NC elected officials.
It will be a streamlined pathway for students to connect with local/statewide figures to empower young leaders to enact real change around our community. SPC will house a University-focused student-run think tank, a research arm, and the NC General Assembly policy challenge.
Conversation with former congressional candidate Dan McCready on March 9 at 5:30 pm! Known for his 2018 US Congress campaign to represent NC’s 9th District, when he exposed his opponent’s campaign’s election fraud and made history by overturning the fraud-tainted election.
McCready is also a North Carolina native, Marine Corps veteran, solar energy entrepreneur. During this 1 hour event, McCready will share his journey and a behind-the-scenes look at running for office in NC. Come with questions ready as there will be time for Q+A at the end!
