My ❤️ and I achieved financial independence at 33 and #EarlyRetirement at 36. Now we're raising 2 kids in Colorado & abroad. Writer // Adventurer // #GoalDigger
We’re really happy with how the segment featuring @mrmoneymustache and our family turned out. The @PBS@NewsHour team a great job of introducing the #EarlyRetirement concept and addressing some common questions. But in any 9:28 story, so much goes unsaid.

@mrmoneymustache@FieryMillennial @FrugalPharm I’ve reported your fake account ending in 0 twice and it seems to just stick around here forever regardless like you said.
@dollarrev@richandregular@KevOnStage “That mf”
Magnificent female? 😊
Also, I thought I’d quickly settle this by sharing THE answer:
1. Gently squeeze air out of the bag.
2. Roll the top of the bag.
3. Clip the roll in the center.
@DebtFreeGuys That works great too of course. I was riffing on the number of people who “did” things — say college sports for example — but then don’t quite achieve the “I am an athlete” identity afterwards. Just a whole lot of “I did” and “I was”.
@madfientist@Brainiac_Music Life here is good! We’re wrapping up a year-long house remodel and properly learning the piano is going great too. I hope parenting life is treating you both well and look forward to hearing whatever music you conjure up next.
@mpls_ip @mrmoneymustache It was an unbelievably trouble-free car for us from 2014 until the moment it failed. It happens.
I had just changed the oil before my kids and I took a road trip to TX. On our way back to Colorado, it just decelerated on I-70 in Kansas a dozen miles from the Colorado border.
@mrmoneymustache I was tempted to buy a junker for a couple thousand, but not regressing on fuel economy is a value of ours and I couldn’t find any electric vehicles — the new/used inventory was pretty barren at that time.
@mrmoneymustache Our 2007 Toyota Prius finally failed (hole in engine block) after 250,000 miles; we sold it for $1,700.
We bought a 2010 Prius with 32,000 miles for $17,000 at the start of July (poor market timing on my part to become a zero car family).
We found it at a Toyota dealership.
@mrmoneymustache@hubermanlab I’ve been on a similar self-improvement content binge since February crushing my way through Brian Johnson’s fantastic 300-day Heroic Coach program. I’ll definitely check out the @hubermanlab podcast now and would love to compare notes sometime.
