@g__j The article is exaggerated, but to be fair bad maths is becoming synonymous with Octopus. Just look at Reddit - things as absurd as tens of debit and credit transactions applied on one day. It’s not an isolated issue. Speaking as a customer, I have no faith in Octopus’ maths.
@NYCMayor This is an outrageous post. The only people who “put so many lives in danger” were the NYPD. Your police chaotically shot 8 bullets into a crowded subway car, hitting 3 people - including an innocent bystander who is now in critical condition. It was not “bravery”. It was panic.
@SW_Help Thanks. That doesn’t address why your staff on the ground trying to deal with this are being ignored for so long, that they go and complain to passengers that they’re being ignored. That does not inspire confidence that SWR are across this.
@SW_Help I’m on 20:30 Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour which hasn’t departed. We’ve been told no train crew, moreover the SW staff can’t get any response from their bosses as to when train crew might arrive?! Can you please tell your staff, to respond to your staff. Basic stuff.
@ParrotLegal Not bumbling, calculated. And I wish legal Twitter would not treat his blocks as a party game but see them as part of the same calculation: ensuring that his authoritative voice for an audience that admires him is undiluted by dissent or error correction from his peers
@JolyonMaugham @desertrose1969 @GoodLawProject I don’t know what Richard has said but to provide balance: as I understand Barbara’s points it is *because she cares* that she feels that a decision to support litigation should be a fully informed decision. Having read the PR spin you put on orders and judgments, I agree.
@JolyonMaugham @desertrose1969 @GoodLawProject This bile is defamatory at law. It reads like an attempt to have your followers adopt your own anger and direct it specific individuals. You have personally received that form of attack so you know it is unfair and seriously nasty. Your objective for 2024: recognise your emotions
@AdamWagner1 This is one of the few areas I feel calls for more from the SRA. I have acted for people threatened with claims that were completely unarguable at law, but have deleted articles / Tweets just to avoid it all. Some lawyers need to think about their professional obligations more.
@FaiselSadiq @dewaalkc Seconded on Seat 61. Also, when connecting with Eurostar you can (in person only) buy a slightly cheaper train ticket by using station code LNE which is London International CIV.
@TomCapon@ink_drawings You are correct, withholding rent puts you in a legally bad position. However, in England & Wales you do have the right to repair and deduct. It’s a bit of a faff of procedure but given your ridiculous living situation I encourage you to look into it.
@ronnytodgers@techpoodle Also interesting is that at least near me (Surrey) it was very foggy yesterday. I’m not saying the wood burner point isn’t valid, I agree with the concern, just genuinely curious about the reading and thought I’d add this - but obviously it may not have been foggy near Rachel.
@modernheroestv Hi. Look for air infiltration/exfiltration first, then insulation gaps, more structural things like doors last. But realistically, even a good door will never perform as well as the walls around it.
