Hopefully with the support and partnership of teachers from all backgrounds we can help promote recognition and advancement of our colleagues from diverse background.

@DevelopingH @KarenYW_SEND @gfreeman2012 I suppose it depends on the kids. I've worked with others who have needed a more 'now/next' approach but this cohort has really activity engaged with the visual timetable so I left it up to them. Seems to be going well!

This is a discussion we have often in school. I believe that life skills in general need a much stronger presence in education. It's great you're bringing life to the conversation.

Anyone with dyslexia experience in early stages (5/6) could you point me towards useful resources/strategies? I have kids who fit the description of prereaders who may have dyslexia or like learning differences but won't be diagnosed until P4. What would help now? #edutwitter

@actionheroteach A whole generation was taught that not seeing colour was 'evolved' and produced equality. While many who believed that may have thought it was supportive and equitable, the reality is that it matters. I think we need to re-learn how to talk about colour to be truly anti-racist.
