Again, I'm saying this: many Tamilians who boast about Chennai and claim its current growth is sufficient have probably never set foot in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, or Noida.

Just look at Hyderabad. Apart from Mumbai, no Indian city comes close to Hyderabad in terms of the scale of modern construction and skyline development.

Our cities need a complete overhaul of FSI and FAR regulations, along with liquor policy reforms to unlock their full potential. At the same time, the government should stop using prime urban land for Slum Rehabilitation Board housing, like it did along Chennai's Loop Road. Such valuable land should be planned and utilized far more efficiently.

Fun fact - The hsr has stopping in parandur cause of the airport. But since it is stalled or on a stage to get abolished. If parandur airport is built then it will the growth hub for chennai since metro hsr local train connectivity is planned . No other cities has this privilege.
