Stories like this remind us why our education mission matters.
Our students are gaining the skills they’ll need for the future while making a real difference in people’s lives today. Thank you, Dr. Rory Hume, for highlighting our @UofUDentistry students and faculty.
As commencement season wraps up, I’ve been reflecting on our Class of 2026 at @UofUHealth.
Nearly 1,500 graduates are stepping forward—ready to serve, lead, and make a difference.
This class has already made its mark:
• @UofUMedicine students helped deliver $144M+ in charity care in FY25
• @CofHealth graduates contributed 59,000+ hours to their communities
• @uofunursing students earned nearly 100% first-time pass rates on specialty certification exams
• @uofupharmacy graduates launched an ambassadors program to recruit future PharmD students
• Even though dentistry residencies are optional, @UofUDentistry students achieved a 90% residency match rate
Congrats, Class of 2026! Wherever your path leads, the communities you serve will be stronger because of your work.
And special thanks to our faculty, staff, mentors, and deans for guiding and supporting this remarkable class along its journey.

I had the pleasure of meeting the next generation of health care professionals at the Health Sciences Scholarship Reception. As someone who has walked this path, it was inspiring to learn about our talented students from @UofUDentistry, @UofUMedicine, University of Utah College of Health, @UofUNursing, and @UofUPharmacy.
Thanks to the generosity of our devoted donors and supporters, these scholarships are opening doors and strengthening our health care community. Congratulations to all our deserving scholarship recipients!

Dr. Brenda Heaton @UofUDentistry recently wrote about oral health as a right—not a privilege—and talked about policy that will allow Utah residents who qualify for Medicaid to receive comprehensive dental care as early as next year. Check out this article!
