🌬️The International Day of Clean Air for blue skies !🌍 Let's come together to celebrate the beauty of clean air and take action for a healthier planet. 🌿
Did you know that every breath we take impacts our health and the environment? Today, let's pledge to make a difference. Here are a few ways you can contribute to cleaner air:
1. 🚗 Choose Green Transportation: Opt for public transit, carpool, bike, or walk whenever possible. Reduce your carbon footprint and traffic congestion.
2. 💡 Save Energy: Turn off lights and appliances when not in use. Consider upgrading to energy-efficient appliances and LED lighting.
3. 🌳 Plant Trees: Trees are natural air purifiers. Join local tree-planting initiatives or plant one in your own backyard.
4. Reduce Idling: Avoid leaving your vehicle's engine running when parked, especially in densely populated areas. Idling consumes fuel unnecessarily and contributes to air pollution.
5. 💨 Air Quality Awareness: Stay informed about local air quality. Use air quality apps and take precautions when needed.
6. 🌞 Support Clean Energy: Advocate for renewable energy sources like wind and solar power. Every step towards clean energy is a step towards cleaner air.
7. 🌱 Promote Sustainable Living: Make eco-friendly choices in your daily life. Reduce your carbon footprint and adopting eco-conscious habits.
Remember, clean air is essential for our well-being and the health of our planet. Let's take small steps today for a brighter, cleaner, and healthier tomorrow! 🌈💚 #CleanAirDay #BreatheClean MoEF&CC Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) #airpollution GIZ India

I ❤️ low-cost sensors for PM air pollution (eg PMS5003, SPS30). But they have serious limitations. They cannot see particles > 1 micron.
PM1 👍🏻 😀
PM2.5 🧐
PM2.5-10 👎🏻😬
PM10 👎🏻 ☹️
Networks like #PurpleAir should stop reporting PM10 and coarse PM. https://t.co/11J3LkQxks
A comprehensive state action plan and a regional approach is needed to manage #AirPollution ;financial resources must be used along the plan, says Ashish Tiwari,Secretary, Department of Environment,Forest and Climate Change,Uttar Pradesh @iForestGlobal@NRDC_India@WorldBank
