#2 is a problem even in the church.
All a woman has to do is find something she doesn’t like about her husband, call it “abuse,” and then blow up her marriage—and she will find several Christians who support her decision.

Divorce is statistically more damaging to a child's education than the death of a parent. And yet every powerful institution in the country is working overtime to convince you that divorce is empowering.

I want to thank so many of you who have reached out personally to congratulate us and assure us of your prayers. We are humbled and accept this opportunity for service knowing it is a stewardship for which we will give account. I want to congratulate my brother, Josh Powell, and his wonderful family for his exemplary conduct and efforts during this season.
My esteem for him has only grown and I know he will be a voice in Southern Baptist life for years to come. We need 1000 pastors like him.
I want to assure all Southern Baptists, those who voted for me and those who didn’t, that
our desire is to serve our Lord and you and my prayer is indeed that God will bring us into a season of reconciliation and renewal. It is my hope to listen and to serve and I ask for your prayers, your patience, and your continued cooperation as we continue in the good work God has given us to do.
Impeach and remove Kristi Noem.
Congress must not fund DHS.
No more money without disciplined leadership and massive reforms—real training, body cameras, no masks—and clear rules for how federal agent misconduct will be investigated, prosecuted, and punished.
Wow, so according to the Stated Clerk of the PCA, Bryan Chapell, I am one of his list of "scandalizers" who have either "left the faith, their family or taken their life."
I'm happy to report that rumours of my demise (or apostasy or divorce) have been greatly exaggerated!
But now everyone is asking, "How did you end up on the Stated Clerk's 'enemies list'?" Well, I suspect it goes back to 2001 when Chapell was the President of CTS and despite their attempts to cover it up, it got out that a woman had delivered the sermon in the chapel on at least two occasions (article in the comments).
As a result, at the next General Assembly at least one overture was sent up calling for an investigation and changes to the CTS policy to ensure it never happened again. I was on the Overtures Committee that year and spoke in favor, Chapell who was in the room, was given the privilege of the floor, and then stood up and defended the seminary without addressing the actual events but rather taking the tack of "How could you even think to question the bona fides of such a bastion of Reformed orthodoxy?" He even had props with him showing the Reformed books that are part of the curriculum, he also impugned the motives of those who had brought the chapel events to light. Not surprisingly, his speech won the day.
Afterwards, as he was leaving the room, I approached him and tried to ask him about what had actually happened at the CTS chapel. As I began to speak, he raised his hand and said, "Never attempt to speak to me again" and walked away.
Just because other countries impose high taxes on their people does not mean the United States should impose high taxes on Americans. The United States is the economic powerhouse of the world in large part because our economy is relatively free. Don’t emulate socialist countries.
Congress has ceded so much of its constitutionally prescribed authority to the president through emergency measures that the federal government now always operates under multiple emergency decrees.
This centralization of power in one branch of government at the direction of one person evades constitutional limits and checks, deprives us of our due representation, eviscerates government accountability, and subjects us to endless abuses.
It’s time for Congress to stop passing the buck. End the era of perpetual emergencies.
Love Family: With grateful hearts filled to overflowing for the profound influence of Mia on our lives, we want you to know that she passed away peacefully today. She was in her home surrounded by family. In the midst of a celebration of her life and an avalanche of happy memories, Mia quietly slipped the bands of mortality and, as her words and vision always did, soared heavenward. We are thankful for the many good wishes, prayers and condolences. We are taking some time as a family and will provide information about funeral services and a public celebration of her life in the days to come.
One simple rule—compelled by the Constitution—would make the government far more accountable and careful in foreign affairs:
The United States should not provide offensive armaments to any country engaged in a hot war unless Congress has declared war on the side of that country.
