I'll go one further on the SSPX's need for loyalty. The SSPX had 3 important "sheddings" that marked its history and formed its current personality.
The SSPX are keenly aware that these "sheddings" cannot continue under the management of the four new bishops:
1) Sede Shedding: The ejection of "the Nine" in the Spring of 1983 that morphed into divided American Sedevacantism (Frs. Cekeda, Dolan, Sanborn, Jenkins, Kelly, et al.). This led the SSPX to forge armor against the attacks of sedevacantism from their right flank.
2) FSSP Shedding: In 1988, a chunk of the SSPX withdrew and sought full canonical status with Rome, becoming the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) and gave birth the Ecclesia Dei Communities. This led the SSPX to create a tighter apologetic against "compromise with Rome."
3) Bp. Williamson Shedding: One of the four bishops was expelled/left in 2012 to form a "SSPX resistence" movement that fizzled out. Symbolically, this was the breaking of the brotherhood. I'm not sure how the SSPX generally perceives this, as many SSPX laity seem to have a nostalgic veneration for Williamson. This "shedding" in particular reveals that the SSPX could have endless "we are more trad than you" breakaways over time.
@pontificatormax If he would have followed up “more important issues” with something like “worshipping the true God in the Catholic Church which helps dictate sexual morality along with all morality” then it wouldn’t be so bad.
But of course we get ambitious jargon.
Thank you again @realstewpeters for interviewing my superior Bishop Pfeiffer today about the war and Donald Trump’s attacks on Christianity- with Bishop’s insights to how to approach the crises:

We stayed in a little compound with Iraqi Police for awhile. I liked one of the dudes quite a bit so we talked a lot. One of our guys had served a Mormon mission in England before the war so he knew a little about islam. One day he told me to ask my friend the IP if it's true that in the end we would have to either convert or fight to the death.
After a bunch of blabber about jizyah and other nonsense he finally admitted that it is true. If islam runs the world the answer is eventually Christianity must be stamped out and it's adherents butchered or subjugated.
This is running in the background of all muslim immigration. Jihad of the womb, taqiyya, then eventually ruling in the open. It's against the religion to migrate to a non-muslim country unless this is the intent btw. Conquest is built in at the lowest levels of the faith.
@owroot I think it's because death is removed from our view in our culture, meaning that we quickly remove the body to the hospital or the morgue and there is no chance to sit with the body and process it. no grave diggers amongst us either.
@JesseKellyDC I have been an Amex card holder for over 30 years. Every time I call the service is great. No phone tree hell. American answers the “0” push.
@JoshuaTCharles@joe_rigney A lady who couldn't read was a Scientologist, and she said that learning to read, including about God, led her to become Catholic
I read this a few years ago and truly changed my thinking on the whole thing. it was published right around the time my eldest boy was asking to be taken out of the public schools, because he could not look anywhere without seeing girls naked bottoms and sides of breasts, and he did not consent to seeing it. https://t.co/nIh9vbhanH
