I intend to share some of the daily routines & challenges we face as this life altering mental illness has hold of my wife. Anyone, whether suffering from #OCD#anxiety#depression knows how crippling these illnesses are. I Hope you can relate & know your not alone against OCD!
I may pick up where we left from - sharing stories, experiences, advice and to rase awareness etc...
Maybe.
Alrhough I've been on the account Its been almost 2 years of ups and downs since the last post.
Hi everyone.
Its been some time... we hope you are well.
A lot has changed, enough to keep me busy from this account but there is one thing thats very much the same...
Wife will be raising money for @OCDUK. Donate if you wish, on her @JustGiving page.

(Wife) So #OCDweek is coming to an end and it's been both scary and comforting to share a few of my thoughts but I have been shown so much support and am so very grateful. I wish everyone struggling with this awful disorder all my love. Keep fighting. You are not alone ๐ #OCD
(Wife) Went for coffee with husband yesterday & it was nice. I have to make sure I have thick clothes on though (like jeans) so my skin doesn't touch the seat & I have to change when home. Also have to ask for it in a take away cup because of contamination/glass fears #OCDWeek
(Wife) My husband has mentioned this before but about 3 weeks ago I cut my hair off because it touched a handle on the bus that looked like it had blood on it. I'm still pretty sad about it tbh and my hair is a mess but at the time I couldn't see any other solution!#OCD#OCDWeek
(Wife) This one is kind of embarrassing (for me) but I used to use at least 6 toilet rolls in the bathroom everyday! I am now down to just 1 & I'm very pleased! (Tbh this isn't something I've really worked at, it's just slowly reduced over time but I'll take it!) #OCD#OCDweek
(Wife) Had a family member visit me today. I find it so difficult to have anyone in the house, because I feel like they contaminate my safe place. I TRY to pretend things aren't bothering me but then have to correct/clean everything to feel better once they're gone. #OCD#OCDweek
(Wife) Forced myself to go for a little walk outside today. Find that I don't ever see much of outside though because I have to constantly watch the ground to make sure I don't step on poo or glass. It makes me so anxious! #OCD#OCDWeek#OCDAwarenessWeek
@ocdiary331 Yes it is so hard to explain! My partners family are very good tbf and they try their best to understand but no one (except my husband) really sees the true impact it all has. Most of the time I will try my best to avoid having anyone over at all
@anxietyaloner Yes! It's so difficult! ๐I think i try to act fine so that they don't feel so uncomfortable but then I go back to my anxious self once they've left!
(Wife) Wash my hands so much that they bleed, then I wash them because they are bleeding, then I panic about something contaminating my open cuts and have to wash them more! Really want them to heal but the cycle is endless #OCD#OCDAwarenessWeek
Good morning everybody, its wife hereโบ My husband has asked me to tweet about my OCD thoughts, feelings etc this week for #OCDAwarenessWeek I'm actually really nervous as I've never shared much about my OCD before but I will try my best to share bits of my day with you!#OCDweek
(Wife) On a more positive note though I want to say thankyou so much for all the support! This community is really wonderful, seeing people supporting each other and having people to relate to is amazing! #OCD#OCDAwarenessWeek
(Wife) Had a bit of a meltdown this evening because of a red/brown mark on a packet of frozen potatoes. My brain decided it's blood. I panicked, I shouted, I cleaned, I showered, I cried.
OCD may have won today but I'll try again tomorrow! โบ #OCD#OCDAwarenessWeek
(Wife)1.3: The last time I even broke a glass was nearly 7 months ago but im still worrying about those maybe/could be/possibly pieces that might still be around. The anxiety is exhausting. (Apologies that this is a bit of a negative start to the week) #OCD#OCDWeek
