I have not spent a single day at the prison hospital. Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Asif Zardari were given air conditioned rooms with en-suite bathrooms. One of the prisoners cooks for me, but I have never complained. Only three visits are allowed to meet with me in a week, whereas Nawaz Sharif met with forty people (when he was in jail). It was an open house for him. Nawaz Sharif used to even talk to journalists in the privacy of his own room. I send the names of six of my party leaders every week, and only three are allowed to meet me for a mere thirty minutes. I have so many cases against me, and yet, I am only allowed to meet with six lawyers. I am kept in solitary confinement. I spend 21 hours of the day inside my prison cell.

My cell heats up like an oven because of the weather, but I have never complained, never said I’m suffering. I have to go to a separate room to bathe. I have just one complaint, though. I am not allowed to speak with my children, although that is my legal right. They (the illicit government) lie on the floor of Parliament that I have been given five-star facilities. I have the same facilities that an inmate on death row has. It feels as though a Martial Law administrator is in charge. Under which law are journalists not allowed to ask me questions? I am the leader of Pakistan’s biggest political party. It is my legal and constitutional right to speak with members of the media in an open court.

The Pakistani culture bestows a special place, sanctity, and honor upon women due to our Islamic values. My wife has been unjustly imprisoned for the past seven months. She is a housewife who has never intervened in government affairs and has nothing to do with politics. Her only crime is being my wife. Similarly, the women of my party are being subjected to ill-treatment for the past one and a half years, which is inhumane and extremely sad.

“Before investigating any matter, the FIA should apologize to me for fabricating a baseless case against me like the cipher case.

After the cipher, as Prime Minister, I conveyed a demarche to the Americans to protect Pakistan's sovereignty and to make my nation proud, and I presented the facts to my people.

The Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report covers the causes, reasons, and characters involved in a tragic event in our national history.

The two main objectives of the Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report were to identify those responsible for the tragedy and to point out mistakes.

I referred to the Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report so that we could learn from past mistakes.

In the context of the Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report, the criticism of General Yahya Khan is based on his political decision-making.

General Yaqub and Admiral Ahsan, stationed in East Pakistan, advised Yahya Khan against military action in East Pakistan, for which they had to resign.

The constitution binds the military to stay completely out of politics so they can perform their professional duties without facing criticism.

The Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report clearly states that General Yahya Khan was fully engaged in political decision-making.

Political decisions are criticized worldwide, and democracy fully protects such criticism.

A military head is not elected or appointed through a referendum, so it is in the military's best interest, as mandated by the constitution, to keep itself and its leadership away from politics and political decisions.

When a military head gets involved in politics or makes political decisions, he steps out of his position and into the political arena.

Yahya Khan's decision of not transferring power to a government with a decisive majority and public mandate, and letting the country face a tragic incident, were his decisions.

The situation rapidly deteriorated into internal chaos and division because the public mandate was not respected, resulting in the country's split.

Pakistan and its military paid a heavy price for Yahya Khan's involvement and interest in political decision-making.

After making political decisions and getting deeply involved in politics, it was impossible for General Yahya Khan to hide behind the military, so both the Hamoodur Rahman Commission and history have critically evaluated his role.

The extraordinary similarity between the events of the 1970s and today's situation is a cause for concern for every sensible Pakistani.

In the 1970s, the country was divided; today, our economy is in ruins with minimal chances of improvement,

The attempt to revive the economy through the SIFC has failed miserably.

Crushing the country's largest and most publicly mandated party through lawlessness will not improve the economy.

The FIA should investigate who abducted Azhar Mashwani's brothers and for what crime.

Social media workers are our heroes and assets of the nation, and the harassment of them and their families should stop.

The chances of economic improvement will only arise when the public mandate is respected, and decision-making is entrusted to democratically elected representatives with the public mandate”- Imran Khan.

Unfortunately, the worship of the ego and nafs e ammara by a few individuals has led to degradation of every institution and the moral decay of our society.

The plight of Pakistani cricket illustrates how the ego of an individual and consequent nepotism have already pushed Pakistan to the brink of disaster. Mohsin Naqvi is not only regarded as a son by Asif Zardari, also known Mr. 10%, but he also has a family relationship with COAS Asim Munir. Mohsin Naqvi acts as their frontman and was first rewarded with the position of Chief Minister, marking one of the darkest eras in Pakistan’s history. He must be tried under Article 6 for not allowing elections to be held in Punjab as was required under our Constitution. He also unleashed unprecedented brutality upon the nation: homes were violated, workers were killed, jailed, and subjected to torture. After accomplishing a record-setting level of fascism, he was rewarded with not only the sensitive responsibility of the interior ministry but also the PCB Chairmanship. Instead of focusing on enhancing the team’s performance, Mohsin Naqvi invested all his energies in suppressing political opponents. The recent performance of the Pakistan Cricket Team shows that the players are at their lowest morale, as the team is presided over by an incompetent tout.

These mistaken priorities are also evident in the country’s law and order situation. All state machinery is focused on unleashing fascism & violence against citizens, while the law and order situation has deteriorated and terrorism is on the rise, while the economy is in a tailspin.

Lastly, the ‘Jungle ka Badshah’, who is the prime string puller, must now stop the destruction of the institutions. It is high time for course correction, lest the country meets the same fate as the Pakistan Cricket Team did in the 2024 World Cup.

عیدالاضحیٰ ایثار و قربانی کے اس جذبے، جس کی مثال جنابِ ابراہیم علیہ السّلام کی جانب سے قائم کی گئی،کوصحیح معنوں میں اپنانے کا درس دیتی ہے۔

بدقسمتی سے ہمارے ہاں چند افراد کی اپنی اناؤں کی پوجا اور نفسِ عمّارہ کی پرستش نے ہمارے سماج کی اخلاقی تباہی کا سامان کیا ہے اور ہر ادارے کو تنزّلی و انحطاط کی بھینٹ چڑھایا ہے۔

پاکستان کی قومی کرکٹ ٹیم کی کسمپرسی پوری طرح یہ ظاہر کر رہی ہے کہ کیسے ایک شخص کی انا اور اس کے نتیجے میں اقربا پروری نے پہلے ہی پاکستان کو تباہی کے دہانے پر لا کھڑا کیا ہے۔ محسن نقوی کو زرداری، جو مسٹر ٹین پرسنٹ کے نام سے بھی جانا جاتا ہے، ہی اپنا بیٹا قرار نہیں دیتا بلکہ اس کے چیف آف آرمی سٹاف عاصم منیر سے بھی خاندانی مراسم/تعلقات ہیں۔ محسن نقوی انکے فرنٹ مین کے طور پر کا�� کرتا ہے چنانچہ پہلے اسے وزارتِ اعلیٰ کے منص�� سے نوازا گیا حالانکہ (اس کی وزارتِ اعلیٰ کا) یہ دور پاکستان کی تاریخ کے تاریک ترین ادوار میں سے ایک ہے۔ اس کے خلاف تو دستور کی منشا اور آئین کے تقاضوں کے مطابق پنجاب میں انتخابات کے انعقاد کی اجازت نہ دینے پر آرٹیکل 6 کے تحت کارروائی ہونی چاہئیے۔

پھر اس نے قوم پر ظلم کے پہاڑ توڑے اور جبر و فسطائیت کی ایسی سیاہ تاریخ رقم کی جسکی نظیر تک ملنا ناممکن ہے۔ اسکی نگرانی میں چادر و چاردیواری کےتقدّس کو پامال کیا گیا، سیاسی کارکنان (ناحق) قتل کئے گئے، انہیں جیلوں میں ڈالا گیا اور بدترین تشدد کا نشانہ بنائے گئے۔ وحشت و سفّاکیّت کا ریکارڈ قائم کرنے پر اسےداخلہ امور جیسی حسّاس ترین وزارت سےہی نہیں بلکہ سینیٹرشپ اور پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ (PCB) کی سربراہی کے ذریعے بھی نوازا گیا۔

ٹیم کی کارکردگی میں اضافے پر ��وجّہ دینے کی بجائے محسن نقوی نے نے اپنی تمام تر توانائیاں (سرکار کے) سیاسی مخالفین کو دبانے میں کھپا دیں۔ قومی کرکٹ ٹیم کی حالیہ کارکردگی ثابت کرتی ہےکہ کھلاڑیوں کا مورال بُری طرح مجروح/نچلی ترین سطح پر ہے کیونکہ کرکٹ بورڈ کی کمان ایک نااہل ٹاؤٹ کے ہاتھ میں ہے۔

ترجیحات میں یہ حد درجہ بگاڑ ملک میں امن و امان کی صورتحال سے بھی عیاں ہے۔ پوری ریاستی مشینری شہریوں کو ظلم و تشدد کا نشانہ بنانے اور سفّاکیّت کے ریکارڈز قائم کرنے میں لگی ہوئی ہے جبکہ امنِ عامہ درہم برہم ہے، دہشتگردی بڑھ رہی ہے اور معیشت تباہی کے پاتال میں اتر چکی ہے۔

حتمی طور پر اب ”جنگل کے بادشاہ“، جو بنیادی طور پر اس ملک میں ڈوریاں ہلاتا ہے، کو اداروں کی تباہی کا سلسلہ فی الفور ترک کر دینا چاہئیے۔ وقت آگیا ہے کہ اپنا قبلہ درست کیا جائے قبل اس کے کہ ملک کا حشر بھی وہی ہو جو 2024 کے عالمی کپ کے دوران پاکستان کی قومی کرکٹ ٹیم کا ہوا۔

کمشنر راولپنڈی کا اعترافی بیان جس میں انہوں نے یہ تسلیم کرتےہوئے مستعفٰی ہونے کا اعلان کیا کہ انہوں نے انتخابی نتائج سےچھیڑ چھاڑ کی،جس کے نتیجےمیں محض راولپنڈی ڈویژن میں تحریک انصاف کو قومی اسمبلی کی کم ازکم 13 نشستوں سے محروم کیا گیا۔

ان کا یہ بیان ملک بھر میں ان��خابی نظام کے ساتھ کئے جانے والی نہایت منظّم چھیڑ چھاڑ کی ایک ہوشربا روداد ہے جس سے یہ ظاہر ہوتا ہے کہ قومی اسمبلی ہی نہیں بلکہ صوبائی اسمبلی کی ایسی نشستیں جہاں تحریک انصاف کے امیدواروں کو واضح برتری حاصل تھی، کو جعلی سازی اور دھوکے دہی سے ہروایا گیا اور عوام کو ان کے جائز مینڈیٹ سے محروم کیا گیا۔

وقت آ گیا ہے کہ ملک کی ساکھ، اس کی بہتری اور سیاسی و معاشی استحکام کیلئے اپنے طرزِ عمل کا جائزہ لیا جائے اور اپنا قبلہ درست کرتے ہوئے فارم 45 کی روشنی میں نتائج جاری کرتے ہوئے عوام کی منشا کا احترام کیا جائے۔

پاکستان تحریک انصاف شفاف تحقیقات اور عوامی مینڈیٹ پر کھلے ڈاکے میں ملوث افراد کیخلاف مؤثر اور بامعنی عدالتی کارروائی کابھی مطالبہ کرتی ہے۔
