I just read a disturbing report that repentant bandits killed 18 members of a vigilante group during an encounter in Jibia Local Government of Katsina. This reinforces the genuine concern that many who claim repentance do so only as an opportunity to evade justice.

KEBBI STATE ASSAULT ON A Conscious TEACHER: IT SHALL COME TO PASS

A primary school teacher in kebbi state, Abdul-jalal usman has been suspended for three months without salary for refusing to collect one mood of millet and rice as Ramadan support.

He earns a paltry N35k in a month with the burden of a wife, three children and an aged mother.

I was able to locate him through Malam jabir and have already credited his account with N120,000( three month salary in advance) to mitigate the likely financial dislocation from the suspension.

Should the kebbi state government decide to terminate his appointment, I will offer him a job in kebbi where he can choose any private community school and continue to teach or work while I pledge to continue paying his monthly with upward review every three years.

Remember that the kebbi state governor was a former NUT President who is supposed to be more protective of teachers more than any other person.

The rejection of the paltry Ramadan palliative by the state government is a regular insult from Northern politicians who think everything starts and ends with palliative. It is well and it shall come to mass that the villains of today are those to be in fear and hiding tomorrow..it has happened before.
