Five Types of Fever (Based on Temperature Pattern):

🎭1.Continuous Fever
🔹 Temperature remains elevated with minimal fluctuation (<1°C in 24 hrs).
🔹 Example: Typhoid, Pneumonia, Urinary tract infection.

🎭2.Remittent Fever
🔹 Temperature fluctuates >2°C in 24 hrs but never returns to normal.
🔹 Example: Infective endocarditis, Brucellosis.

🎭3.Intermittent Fever
🔹 Temperature rises and falls, with normal periods in between.
🔹 Example: Malaria.

🎭4.Relapsing (Recurrent) Fever
🔹 Fever episodes separated by days of normal temperature.
🔹 Example: Relapsing fever (Borrelia), Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
🎭5.Pel–Ebstein Fever
🔹 Cyclical pattern — fever for 3–10 days, then afebrile for similar duration.
🔹 Example: Classically seen in Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

🌀Mnemonic:
“C.R.I.R.P.” — Continuous, Remittent, Intermittent, Relapsing, Pel–Ebstein.
