@fynnvestor@HumptyD69417996 Ah yes no FX fee on purchase but as you’re buying a USD NAV in GBP. If the exchange rate GBP/USD changes then there will movement in value even if there’s no movement in the underlying.
@HumptyD69417996@fynnvestor There won’t be any conversion fees because you’re buying GBP. But there could be movement in the value of the NAV (GBP/USD) even if there’s no price change in the underlying.
@TheParaInvestor We’ve done both for our 2. £100 each into my wife’s ISA. Birthday/Christmas money gets put into Junior ISA. Our eldest is 7 and this year we started to let her pick two individual stocks each time. Think it’s good to get them understanding early on.
@utonomosthought@jenuflexion Wild that people say Blackpool is a shit hole when they probably haven’t been more than 100m outside of town. I live in FY4 and all I see going round my estate on a daily basis is dog walkers and horse riders. Can literally hear a pin drop when it gets to 11pm.
@BristolGalt I was thinking this before. Have ‘British citizens’ and ‘British residency’. To be a citizen you have to have a British birth parent. Only citizens get access to benefits. If you have residency you can have access to the NHS but only if you pay tax and NI.
@jfwfc@rainstormblue To put it into perspective. I earn a decent wage (top 10%) and my student loan balance is still increasing by £10 a month. So basically I’m just paying an extra 9% tax for the next 20 years.
