0.8% CTR usually means the keyword strategy isn’t matching intent well enough

impressions don’t mean much until they turn into high-intent clicks and paying customers

i’d avoid unwinnable keywords and check real volume with serper for the terms you’re targeting.

I'm sending 500/day cold emails to find high quality editorial backlinks from competitors.

here's what I did so far:

→ 1,898 emails in 5 days
→ 224 human replies
→ 104 answered by hand, one at a time
→ 2 dofollow links live
→ 9 more deals in progress
→ $3,000+ in paid placement offers declined
→ $0 spent on links

reply rate 4,6% which is huge.

the trick: when someone asks for money, I counter with 30% recurring affiliate.

costs me nothing up front and pays them more than a one-off fee if the link actually works.

DR has moved +4 so far.

result from my outbid bet - it was (somewhat) successful 🔥

3 days ago I paid $12,000 for the #1 spot (then I paid a bunch of outbid copycats too)

most people told me it was just bragging with money

here is what actually happened:
- Friday: 44 trials
- Saturday: 38 trials
- Sunday: 31 trials
normal baseline: ~20 trials/day

so 53 trials that would not exist otherwise

our usual trial to conversion rate is around 50%
Outrank LTV is ~$2k, so I need 6 of those 53 to stick. that's just 11%

so I have room to be wrong by a lot and still win this
