We’re very happy to launch EyeReadIt, a database of eye movements in Italian developing and skilled readers. 141 kids (grades 3–6) plus 33 adults read six passages from children books, for a total of 1566 word tokens and 762 word types. (1/2)

[Valentina Pescuma @v_pescuma]

The dataset includes over 240K fixations and 150K word-level metrics, with saccade, fixation, and (word) interest area reports. Preprint https://t.co/KrOTFj5wzJ, data https://t.co/Kc9CchMwuq. Work conducted with @CrepaldiDavide and Maria Ktori. (2/2)

A new paper in @ActaPsych! We tested effects of formality-register congruence and morphosyntactic congruence on reading measures and found that the formality congruence effects were subtler.

I can't see another #PhD student or #postdoc crying because of toxic environments.

We are literally killing talents due to lack of people management skills.

Having people crying in your lab is not normal.

New funding for the lab, yeah! We got a 2-year grant to study statistical learning, reading and the geometry of the orthographic and the semantic space. A new postdoc position will be open soon — contact daboss @CrepaldiDavide if you’re interested!
