Tamilnadu Government's net borrowings and other liabilities stood at ₹30,021.39 Crs during April - August 2026. This is ₹7,060.68 Crs lower than the ₹37,082.07 Crs recorded during the corresponding period of 2025 - 26, a decline of around 19%.

Tamilnadu Government's (#TVKVijay) net borrowings and other liabilities stood at ₹30,021.39 crore during April - August 2026. This is ₹7,060.68 crore lower than the ₹37,082.07 crore recorded during the corresponding period of 2025 - 26, a decline of around 19%. In August alone, the net figure was negative at ₹2,903.72 crore, indicating a reduction in the net liability position during the month. The fiscal deficit for August also stood at a positive ₹2,903.71 crore, reflecting the same reduction in the net deficit position.
