Born in a humble Mahishya family in the North Parganas, married to one of Kolkata's richest zamindari families of Raja Chandra Das of Janbazaar.

Took over the family business and estate following her husband's death.

Eden Gardens was actually part of her estate, which she later donated to the Eden sisters, of then Governor General, Lord Auckland.

Apart from Dakhshineshwar, she also got a road constructed from Subarnarekha River to Puri Jagannatha Temple for the benefit of pilgrims.

She donated generously to the Imperial Library, now the National Library in Kolkata, as well as the Hindu College, now the Presidency University.

The only horror film that scared me is Bhootakalam. Typical Hollywood or Indian Horror films are too noisy with random creatures/abnormal beings or funny painted faces. But a few films stick to the real definition of horror and Bhootakalam is one such film.
