Joe Rogan is stunned to learn British taxpayers were still paying off SLAVE OWNERS until 2015.

Britain abolished slavery in 1833. The government paid the slave owners £20,000,000 for their “lost property,” which was 40 PERCENT of the entire budget at the time.

Britain couldn’t afford it, so the government borrowed the money. Ordinary taxpayers spent the next 182 years paying interest on it.

Not a penny went to the people who had been enslaved. All of it went to the owners.

Someone born in 1990 was still paying off that loan.

The Treasury confirmed it in 2018. The final bonds weren’t redeemed until February 1, 2015.

One of the highlights of my time in Jordan was visiting UNWRA archives and examining the index cards and other records of the 750,000 Palestinians kicked off their land at the Nakba in 1948.
