The Killing Curse had struck the boy full in the chest. Lucius knelt beside him in the dirt, and his long pale fingers found the throat.
He leaned in until his hair curtained both their faces.
"Is my daughter alive?"
"...Yes," Harry breathed.
Lucius did not move. Behind him, the Dark Lord waited. Two hundred Death Eaters waited. The Forbidden Forest itself seemed to hold its breath.
"Have you been *courting* her, Potter?"
Harry's eyes, closed, squeezed somehow tighter.
"I asked you a question."
"...Define courting."
The fingers at his throat tightened very, very slightly.
"Yes," Harry whispered. "Sir."
A long silence. Somewhere an owl hooted, then thought better of it.
"Have you *kissed* her?"
"I am *dead*," Harry hissed, barely moving his lips. "Could we possibly do this later?"
"You will survive this night," Lucius murmured, and his voice was colder than the Killing Curse had been, "so that I may kill you myself. Properly. In a duel, as a gentleman should, with your intentions declared before witnesses."
"That's... fair."
"It is not *fair.* It is *tradition.*"
Lucius rose, smoothed his robes, and turned to face his master. His expression was a perfect mask of grim satisfaction, and none of it was faked, because somewhere inside the castle his daughter was alive, and somewhere in the next few hours he was going to get to threaten a boy with a scar for the rest of his natural life.
"He is dead, my Lord."
Behind him, very quietly, the corpse muttered, "Brilliant."

The killing curse, she had seen it used more then she ever wished, it had made the boy crumple where he stood. Something was wrong though the color remained in just barely. Narcissa leaned in.
"Is Dracea alive?"
"Yes."
...
"Am I a Grandmother yet?"
"N-not yet..." Harry whispered desperately wishing she would shut up.
"Then I need you to survive the night boy." Her voice commanding him to live.
Narcissa stood up turning to the crowd with her hands raised in jubilation.
"The boy is dead!" Narcissa proclaimed, she didn't need to fake the joy on her face she would have grandchildren, yet!

@OvalStrictly@_simonsmith I have the same problem and haven't been able to fix it by anything I can think to do, including deleting and starting a fresh dot.
@_simonsmith If I have to hear "...isn't available to me right now" from my dot again about yet another basic feature I'm probably going to just delete it and leave it off. I've already had to do that twice, and a litany of errors like this just keep coming.
Sergio, I’ve been trying to use Space with my dot, and the biggest problem I’m running into is understanding who I’m talking to and whether my requests actually reach them.
A concrete example: my personal Scratchpad Page tells me to assign work by highlighting something and tagging my dot in a comment. I did that, but got no response. When I asked the dot directly, it said it could read the saved comment by opening the Page, but hadn’t received the @ mention as a new message.
So from my perspective, the comment was there, the mention looked sent, and nothing happened. I couldn’t tell whether it was waiting, working, broken, or whether I’d misunderstood how the feature works.
While trying to get around this, I opened the floating conversation over the Page. The composer says “Work with this page…”, which seemed like a reasonable way to reach my dot about that Page. But it turned out to be a separate Codex conversation with the Page attached as context. I literally asked it, “what surface am I talking to right now, chat, dot, codex, work or what?”
That confusion is my main feedback. Space, Pages, comments, dots, Work, and Codex sit close together in the interface, but their relationships and communication boundaries aren’t clear enough. I shouldn’t have to ask an agent to explain where my message went.
What would help:
• A clear recipient on every composer. Am I messaging my named dot, starting a separate task, or commenting on a document?
• Visible status for agent mentions. Did the mention reach the agent? Did it start a task? Did it fail?
• An explicit handoff when a new conversation opens. “Work with this page” should make it clear which agent or task I’m opening and what context carries over.
• A link from the comment to the resulting work, so I can follow what happened without hunting through other conversations.
I don't know why the dot is missing mentions, but it's one of many similar bugs I'm constantly running into that make the dot feel like half its tools are broken.
I want Space to be a place where my ongoing work and my agent come together. Right now, I’m spending too much effort figuring out how to successfully ask for the work in the first place.
