Wild to me that people can work 8-12 hours a day 5 days a week for 50 years and argue that this is the best system humans can come up with and people who make your entire net worth every 12 seconds shouldn’t be taxed more.
Dear employers, normalize not holding interviews when you have already decided who is getting the job. Some unemployed people borrow money just to cover transport costs to attend these interviews.
To those saying that we don’t “pay in” to a state pension, and that it is a benefit, why is there an online government State Pension forecast based on…what you’ve paid in?
On top of which, if you haven’t paid in enough, you can top it up before retirement to increase what you receive in your state pension.
Payments in = Pension. Fact.
The gaslighting by the Left is getting tedious now.

Zack Polanski slams Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper's attack on non violent protest, and Andy Burnham and Ed Miliband's indifference to it.
"As Ed Miliband spoke people were being hauled away by the police, their crime? Holding up signs"
"The sight of pensioners being put in handcuffs and bundled into police vans for holding up cardboard signs, that has been a stain and a shame on this country's reputation for far too long"
"A Labour government so determined to crush dissent that it labels those with views it doesn't want to hear, as terrorists, terrorists, terrorists?"
"Hundreds of Labour MPs willing to label people terrorists?"
"Free speech, civil liberties, the right to dissent, which is one of our precious freedoms"
"We the Greens say, drop the charges, end the genocide, de proscribe Palestine Action"
My view: Polanski is right to focus on the principle at stake. Whatever someone thinks of Palestine Action’s direct action, holding a sign is not violence—and it should not turn ordinary people, including pensioners, into “terrorist” suspects.
A government that uses counter-terror powers to police peaceful expressions of dissent creates a dangerous precedent. It hands ministers an extraordinary weapon: not just to punish unlawful acts, which existing criminal law already covers, but to stigmatise association, silence speech and make public protest itself feel risky.
Baron Hain made the point powerfully in the Lords, calling the proscription “intellectually bankrupt, politically unprincipled and morally wrong.” He argued that the same logic could have branded anti-apartheid activists—and Nelson Mandela—as terrorists. as it happened
There should be consequences for actual violence or criminal damage. But handcuffing people for cardboard signs is something else entirely: it is a chilling attack on civil liberties, and Labour should drop the charges, end the proscription and defend the right to dissent.
This is a stain on @UKLabour@andyburnham@Ed_Miliband - sort it out
This government has delayed giving the green light to oil & gas drilling at Rosebank and Jackdaw - because they're scared of losing votes to the Greens.
Only pressure from Green wins can keep Labour in check & force them to action on the climate crisis.
Vote Green on Thursday.
Robert Jenrick is chasing a guy who stole a bottle of Coke worth about £2, but this is the same Robert Jenrick who helped his mate avoid paying £40 million in tax when he was Housing Secretary.
Remember when I warned that by removing Gaza #rubble Israel would destroy human remains deserving burial, together with evidence of crimes?
ProApartheid squads rushed to call me LIAR - after calling me:
Impostor
Antisemite
Hamas spokesperson
Witch.
But we keep receipts.
Another one. Ruth Curtice CEO of the ‘Resolution Foundation’ which has been campaigning hard for the end of the Triple Lock on the State Pension and which said it was a ‘symbol of a society that has stolen the young’s future’ . Ruth probably won’t have to worry about the State Pension herself though as she was Director of Fiscal Policy at HM Treasury and was a civil servant at the Treasury for over 15 years. She probably has a gold-plated pension the rest of us can only dream of. But her ‘think tank’ is determined to attack the State Pension which millions of us rely/will rely on.
Here’s Tucker Carlson drawing out an astonishingly hawkish warmongering response from Jacob Rees-Mogg - who even justifies the use of nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II.
“The war in Gaza” is actually “the Genocide in Gaza”
“Settlers” is actually “terrorist invaders.”
“The war in Lebanon” is actually “the Genocide in Lebanon”
“A safe zone" is actually "occupation.”
“Collateral damage and human shields” is actually “murder children and innocent civilians”
“The not war in Iran” is actually “the illegal war in Iran”
“The heightened tensions with Cuba” is actually “the unilateral U.S. aggression against Cuba”
“Arresting Venezuelan President” is actually “kidnapping Venezuelan President.”
The media uses euphemisms to control the narrative. The media is complicit
Andy Burnham is lying we will not have public ownership of our water-if water companies do not comply they MAY face public ownership-no free social care-but basic care is promised if you need more than that you may still have to sell your home
The guy who was on Question Time last night trying to pit young v old and criticising Andy Burnham for not going even further in axing the Triple Lock also wrote this:
Let them Die. https://t.co/0fYSaPj3ot
"We create a pretend world. We are a global production company: We write the screenplay, we're the directors, we're the producers, we're the main actors. And the world is our stage.”

Last year, Palantir founder Alex Karp said: “I love the idea of getting a drone and having light fentanyl-laced urine spraying on analysts that tried to screw us.”
Now, he has Labour Party peer Tom Watson trying to convince you to trust his company with your personal data.
The personal allowance has been stuck at £12,570 since 2021.
And it’s staying there until 2031.
If it had kept up with inflation, it would be around £17,470.
The 40% tax threshold would be around £70k instead of £50,270.
Your salary goes up.
The tax-free allowance doesn’t.
That’s how you get a tax rise without announcing a tax rise.
