@ediblesticker @notdan MKV is just a container. It does not care if the video is h264, av1, etc., or if the audio is acc, mp3, ogg, or flac.
There's a reason why mkv has really latched on with less than legal media distribution, especially with multi language releases.

Who remembers when Ubisoft killed The Crew?

Millions bought it, and Ubisoft switched off the servers, made even the single-player unplayable, and stripped the licenses from people's accounts with no refund.

In court, Ubisoft argued you never owned the game at all; to them, it was just a license they could revoke whenever they wanted. The activation code on the physical copy was dated 2099, but the game was dead in ten years.
