insane how the only notable change since Sandy Hook is that kids are now formally trained to hide, barricade doors, fight, or run for their lives. that was the solution. to literally put the responsibility on them to figure it out and wish them luck.

I use to be on the team that's like, "Let kids bring phones into the classroom! We'll use them for learning!"

The problem, and the reason I've changed my stance, is simply that the attention economy makes this nearly impossible.

It's a losing battle for kids & their brain.

@monnat_s For each unit I have created a one pager, that consists of the a few key enduring understandings of the unit that we discuss first in small group, then large group. I also include a list of key content vocab for the unit. We do Quizlet or Gimkit review games, as well.
