@joybblake No hyperbole... I have specifically thought about her and this movie every day since I've watched it. Don't usually care about nominations, but this recognition for her made me really happy.
The Keystone XL pipeline, which Biden cancelled for climate reasons, would have emitted 51 coal plants of carbon a year

Never forget the explicitly stated goal of the US government's murderous, illegal, 60-year blockade on Cuba: to "weaken the economic life of Cuba," and "decrease monetary and real wages, to bring about hunger, desperation and overthrow of government"

This month marks my tenth year on Twitter and it feels like I'm only just now beginning to understand the way I want to use it. Speaking out into the void is a weird thing. Sharing an opinion can lead to harassment and bullying, which is often at the forefront of my mind.
I don't want to be afraid of using my voice anymore. I believe being vulnerable fosters community, and I believe thoughtfulness and positivity goes a long way, so that's how I intend to use mine.
What should the Biden administration do with these findings? They could start by opening DOJ investigations into police departments that have largely evaded federal intervention despite reporting relatively high rates of police violence. https://t.co/46mGUibKKb
I refuse to normalize an anti-democratic process where a few rich, predominantly white individuals negotiate behind closed doors for most of 2020 and give the rest of us a few hours to consider the 5,593 page result of their secret negotiations.
Election update:
1. Biden won by a wide margin
2. There is no evidence of fraud
3. There are no lawsuits that could reverse the outcome
4. Trump is sending dozens of fundraising emails each day, scamming his supporters
5. Elected Republicans are happy to play along
The @GOP’s idea of “democracy”:
- Closing polling places
- Limiting ballot drop offs
- Confusing voters with fake ballot drop boxes
- Sabotaging the Census
- Pushing through a Supreme Court nominee weeks before an election
- Refusing to promise a peaceful transfer of power
