Whalley’s Dell Hotel opened in 1955. Located at 10586 King George Highway, it served as a swinging hot-spot for close to 50 years; the hotel was demolished in 2007.

Gowen Sutton was around from 1920 to 1987. The hand coloured SceneOchroM was produced from the 1930s into the 1950s. This is exactly what B.C. looks like.

c.1910 postcards dealing with commercial Sockeye salmon with much going to the UK. The availability of sockeye has been in decline since 1913; today BC’s leading salmon export is farmed Atlantic salmon.
