Goregaon-Mulund link tunnel project
India's largest TBM has commenced initial tunneling.
At 14.42m it wil dig 5.3km under SGNP from Film city,Goregaon.
With this 3 road tunnel projects are currently underway in the city with 4 large TBMs actively tunneling

Tunneling through TBMs has started for Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train in July 2026, Thane Borivali Tunnel in April 2026. The excavation through TBMs for Mulund Goregaon Link Road is likely to start in Aug 2026. The tunnelling for all these 3 Projects will be happening till 2029.

It should cover Kanjurmarg and Bhandup on EEH and Airoli where lot of offices are present. Major rush on roads and railways can be reduced.
