Watching Elon Musk this week has been a fascinating character study in the saviour complex of Western tech billionaires.
They arrive in your country selling you the future. Welcome them, and you’re a country that wants progress. Make them wait, and suddenly your people are victims who need rescuing from their own institutions by the chosen one.
It’s a pattern. When Thai rescuers didn’t use the mini-submarine Musk sent for the trapped boys, and diver Vernon Unsworth called the idea impractical, Musk attacked him as the “pedo guy.”
When Brazil’s Supreme Court ordered X to comply with its rulings, Musk called the judge a “dictator.”
The script rarely changes. Only the country does.
The colonial mindset isn’t always about wanting to rule a country. Sometimes it’s the assumption that you arrive as its saviour, and if the country doesn’t immediately recognise you as one, something must be wrong with the country.
Elon, you've officially run out of arguments. Now every Indian who disagrees with you is "Ambani's shill."
Nobody said Starlink is too strong. Nobody's scared of your competition. India's problem is you. A Pentagon contractor building Trump's Golden Dome wants to run internet over Indian soil, and he throws a tantrum every time someone asks who holds the off switch.
Ambani's de facto monopoly?
You SIGNED A DEAL with that monopoly in March 2025 to sell Starlink in India. You didn't have a problem with Ambani when he was your reseller.
You only discovered his monopoly when Jio announced its own satellites.
And let's talk about hypocrisy.
Tesla's biggest factory is in Shanghai. Starlink is banned in China. Have you ever called Xi Jinping a monopolist?
Called Chinese critics shills? Written a sarcastic letter to Prime Minister Xi?
No.
Because Beijing would shut your factory by Monday. India can't, so India gets the insults.
now the math your own fans keep posting starlink could add 100–200 million Indian homes. Starlink is approved for 600 Gbps over India. Split across 100 million homes, that's 6 kilobits per second each. Your revolution is slower than a 1998 dial-up modem. 🤡
If it's too expensive, no one will buy it.
Your own India website showed ₹8,600 a month. A Jio plan costs ₹349. Indians already ran the numbers.
Five days of meltdown. Crime against India. Prime Minister Ambani. collages. And now shills.
The richest man on earth, crying on his own app because a sovereign country wants a security check.
Sit down, elon. Finish the paperwork. India isn't a tesla shareholder you can bully on X.
Dear Elon,
The online education, digital payments, and small businesses going global you speak of are already happening in India on dirt-cheap internet.
Jio revolutionized cheap internet back in 2016. The price per GB of data crashed from ₹228 to ₹8, shooting monthly usage from under 2 GB to 40 GB+ and turning connectivity from a luxury into a daily utility for hundreds of millions.
India’s internet sector isn't a damsel in distress waiting to be saved by a savior in orbit. That said, we still welcome competition. So drop the sarcasm and go finish your security clearances so Indians can actually choose whether they want affordable ground data or a shiny space toy.
Public taunts won't skip the line. Pfizer tried forcing its way into the Indian market during COVID era using the same playbook, bypassing mandatory protocols and leaning on public pressure through influencers. It didn't work then, and it won't work now.
If we talk about India's internet revolution, we cannot ignore the role played by Reliance Jio. Jio entered the market with affordable data plans, changed the entire telecom industry, and pushed other players to become more competitive on pricing.
Today, India is among the countries with the cheapest mobile data in the world.
What will be the cost of the Starlink equipment? What will be the monthly subscription? Will a family living in a remote hilly village be able to afford it?
India's existing telecom infrastructure supports a large ecosystem of technicians, engineers, contractors, maintenance workers, and other professionals. Thousands of people and businesses are involved in keeping these networks running.
How many jobs will Starlink create in India? What investments will it make locally? How much infrastructure will it build here?
Approval in one country does not automatically guarantee approval in another country within the same timeframe.
India is open for business, not open for bullying. If you want access to our market, respect our rules. Simple.
Rahul Gandhi, who is yet to comment on the bravery of Capt Smit Machchhar and wish him well couldn't wait to agree with Elon Musk ridiculing an Indian businessman.
Always first to join hands with anyone ridiculing India or Indians and always last to appreciate India's heroes.
My first and last advice to those who constantly link inter-caste issues with reservation and demand to marry a Brahmin girl:
We are not toys to be served on a platter as a scapegoat just to grant someone social justice. We are human beings, not objects of compromise. Stop dragging us into matters of casteism.
Dalits cannot tolerate derogatory remarks against their own sisters, yet they make derogatory remarks against someone else’s sister in the name of social justice.
We have neither taken the contract to deliver social justice and end casteism, nor are we responsible for it.
Demanding to marry a girl at a rally and making derogatory remarks is nothing but sheer indecency.
Kuch bhi… I receive threats too. Almost everyday. Simply because my point of view doesn’t suit a section of people.
Stop celebrating as if democracy has suddenly been restored!
What you really miss is not democracy.. you miss monopoly. You miss ur narratives, your cultural approval.
1) IITs should focus solely on technical education and engineering. The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (H&SS) should not be part of IITs. Institutions established to produce engineers should remain free from ideological or political influence.
2) In NEET-PG 2025, candidates with scores as low as –40 out of 800 were allowed to participate in PG counselling. A negative score was considered qualifying.
These extremely low scores, at which seats were actually allotted, indicate a serious crisis in academic standards. A reasonable minimum qualifying merit should be established to maintain the integrity of medical education and the healthcare system.
3) Regulating the coaching mafia is much needed. In several major examination scams investigated over the years, authorities have uncovered organized networks involving middlemen, insiders from the system, and links to coaching centres or private tuition operators. These networks have repeatedly exploited students' aspirations for profit.
4) Either remove or reform the UGC Promotion of Equity Regulations. They are one-sided regulations. If protection against caste-based discrimination does not include General category students on campuses, the regulations will be vulnerable to misuse, similar to the SC/ST Act. They could be exploited to settle personal grudges and destroy careers.
If you believe reservation will end casteism, I think it's the opposite.
I barely knew or cared about my caste until I applied for college admissions. In school, we all sat together, shared lunch, and studied together SC, ST, OBC, and General Category (all were there). In fact, I only found out who belonged to which category when the admission process began.
From that moment, I started opposing reservation. There are millions like me who never cared about caste, but the state keeps reminding us of it through its unjust reservation policies. Instead of making caste irrelevant, these policies ensure that people never forget it.
The biggest injustice in the education system.
One student pays ₹1 lakh in fees.
Another pays ₹3,000.
Both get the same education.
One student scores 70/100 and still doesn't get a seat.
Another scores 30/100 and gets the same seat.
For the last 70 years, this is so normalised that nobody even treats that as an injustice.
The irony.
Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth!
We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students.
Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.
@INCIndia Vo to thik hai lekin 2028 tak wait karo naa..parliament me strong protest karo Pradhan ke resignation ke liye..but road pe PM ke resident ke saamne protest karna not allowed..I don’t support such ideology
Food delivery, shopping delivery doesn't happen in 10 mins in developed countries. Guess what comes in 10 mins and does their job well... emergency services.
@GabbbarSingh Yeah..securing 90% has been the 🆕 normal for almost a decade now!
Gone are the days when students & parents used to shout:
* Distinction आई है!
** Merit में नाम आया है!
Congratulations!🎉
