Vipin Kumar is an Indian construction worker in Romania.

One day, while he was walking near Nicolae Romanescu Park in Craiova, he saw a girl slip through a thin layer of ice and start struggling in the sub-zero water. Her father tried to reach her but became trapped in the broken ice.

Without any hesitation, Vipin used a nearby sledge to slide toward her. When the ice broke beneath him as well, he plunged into the freezing water, managed to grab the child, and held her above the surface for nearly 30 minutes until emergency crews arrived.

Both Vipin and the girl suffered severe hypothermia and were rushed to the hospital, where they received treatment.

Romania granted honorary citizenship to Vipin Kumar for his bravery and for risking his own life to save the girl.

Nowadays, social media is filled with hate against India, and Indians are increasingly being targeted. But when stories like this emerge, they rarely receive the same attention. They are not shared as widely, and somewhere along the way, these stories get buried and forgotten.

Today evening at Himayathnagar, Mr. Vikram, a delivery rider from EV91 Technologies working for Ratnadeep Super Market, found ₹20,000 near an ATM. Demonstrating exemplary honesty and civic responsibility, he promptly handed over the cash to the Narayanguda Police by submitting it to the Sub-Inspector for safe custody and efforts to trace the rightful owner.

She reached the station to board Train No. 12105, the Vidarbha Express, but by then the green signal had already been given, and the train had started slowly moving out of the platform.

"That's when she began running."

Waving her hand toward the train, the girl sprinted as fast as she could, desperately trying not to miss it.

Seeing her run, the Train Manager and RPF personnel immediately realized the seriousness of the situation and promptly contacted the loco pilot to stop the train.

By the time the train came to a halt, the girl had reached the women's coach, exhausted and drenched in sweat.

She was given water, helped onboard safely, and seated comfortably. Only after ensuring she was settled did the train continue its journey.

"If the train had left that day, an entire year of her hard work could have been lost."

She might not have been able to appear for her NEET examination.

And that is why the action of the Train Manager deserves appreciation...

Because sometimes, "humanity and compassion are greater than rules and regulations."
