@Nigel_Farage I agree. However bullying Zalensky like this is the wrong tactic. Behind closed doors diplomacy is. This was a media farce to please trump voters.
@sentdefender Trump and Vance refuse to allow Zelensky to reply, instead just keep talking over him increasingly loudly. Zalensky is calm in receipt of a tirade of verbal abuse. Shameful behaviour from the Oval Office. Trump knew the media and his voters would love this. Awful.
@afneil The EU and UK should stand up to Trump. Make it clear he is very wrong and should not get his way. He's just a bully, no better than Putin or others like him.
@MPIainDS Trump and Vance showed no respect. Trump in particular for dealing with Putin more or less behind everyone's back. Shameful behaviour on the part on Trumps government. And don't get me started on his appalling AI video of Trump Gaza.
So Trump says of Ukraine "you could have made a deal". How would he feel if Trump Tower was taken over by someone else? Make a deal to get back a floor? Or fight to get it all back? He's utterly misguided.
@johnredwood Totally agree with you on this topic John. UK has abundant rainfall. We would never be water stressed if it were stored and distributed properly. Hot dry European countries seem to cope far better than the UK.
@seanevans1971@peter47_p@guidoacasa Cyclists more than bikes. Drivers tend to push thru just as Amber changes to red. Mnay cyclists cross on full red regardless. Neither is acceptable.
@BigC_Contrarian Sorry. Don't agree. Liz was repetitive, failed to listen, refused to answer questions, came across as not at all humble or honest. IMHO.
@johnredwood Neither is is responsible for the BoE to talk us into recession by claiming it will happen. Mervyn Kind did just that in 2007. Whilst I agree they need to help us understand the current risks, there must be a way to explain it better.
@AdamRutherford You make the assumption that our history is all shameful. That is untrue. We have plenty to be proud of. We also have plenty that we now consider shameful. But that is our past, as it is with any country and civilisation in history. Learn from it, don't cancel it.
@johnredwood Last time the BofE was so pessimistic (Mervyn King 2007) the Financial Crisis of 2008 happened and we had a recession. Is this another repeat? The BofE needs to keep out of economics.
