@emollick Hmmm, first thought... Is this case study really an apples to apples comparison if the non-founder VCs & successful founder VCs have on average 2-3 years more tenure in venture than the failed founder VCs examined? That's 1-2 more funding rounds on the life time portfolio, no?
@lolitataub Depends on your traction, but in general you have to ask yourself "as a B2B founder is $100K enough for me to build a working MVP and close my first customer(s)?" or "as a B2C founder, is $100K enough to hit $5K-$25K in monthly revenue?"
@paddycosgrave Hmmm, couldn't we say the same about LPs investing in funds the sizes of which were clearly unreturnable? At a certain scale, a $50M seed round starts to make sense if you ever want to return the fund.
