There is something I have noticed about some Igbo politicians, and it is the ease with which they throw their own brothers under the bus just to please their political masters.

When I look at what Papa Ozona and Umahi are doing, someone might think they are acting this way because they have presidential ambitions. But honestly, I don't think that is the main reason. To me, it looks more like an attempt to gain Tinubu's attention and prove their loyalty to him.

Now, look at Governor Hope Uzodimma. In all honesty, I have never been his fan, but I have watched him closely since 2023, and I cannot recall him making Peter Obi the centre of his political activities. He has simply focused on his own politics and maintained his relationship with his political superior.

One thing I believe is that when you sell out your own brother to gain the favour of another man, don't expect that man to truly trust or respect you. If you can betray your own people for his approval today, what stops you from doing the same to him tomorrow?
