you and your team built hype in a way that felt controlling and draining (more like slavery). Early supporters in the private Telegram group were made to believe they had something special, and they defended the project fiercely even attacking honest criticism.

now, after all that loyalty and stress, there isn’t much to show for it except broken trust and strained relationships.

Monad didn’t fail the airdrop - they failed their believers.

Community isn’t a product of token allocations.
It’s built on belief, contribution, and respect the kind that grows long before a token ever exists.

Over 600k people showed up for Monad.
Not bots. Not influencers.
Real users, builders, believers.

After Sybil filtering, at least 200k genuine testers remained.
They could’ve formed the strongest base any L1 ever had.
But Monad decided only 5.5k deserved recognition. Cool.

Then came the plot twist 225k random wallets, never part of the chain, suddenly found themselves blessed.
Some of them even spent months mocking Monad publicly.
Now they hold more tokens than the people who actually built the early community.

Less than 400 insiders? Massive bags.
3k loyal contributors? $400 crumbs — not even enough to mint some NFTs.
10 months of work. Endless testing. Zero respect.

And now we ask who stays?
The humiliated 3k?
The 225k waiting to dump?
Or the handful of insiders smiling from the top?

You don’t buy loyalty.
You earn it through fairness.

Monad had the easiest chance to turn 5k true believers into lifelong evangelists.
Instead, they mocked the very idea of community and called it “strategy.”

Monad didn’t just mismanage an airdrop.
They broke trust, the one thing no amount of tokens can repair.

After being a community member and contributing to that particular project and they end up rewarding other people who turns around to call you a farmer.

Then advise you to buy at TGE and hold while they dump on you, lol

Things Monad did wrong in my opinion:

1) Gave useless KOLs a higher allocation than long-term community members
2) Gave OG TG members an extremely low allocation, making them feel excluded from the community
3) Suddenly closed the TG a few days prior to the airdrop announcement
4) Dropped only ~1.8% of the total supply to the community, despite saying the community is the most important component of the airdrop
5) Posted tweets like “Comparing is the thief of joy” or “People are just expressing who they are” instead of showing understanding for the frustration and trying to de-escalate
6) Set expectations way too high and hyped everyone up, while being fully aware that only ~1.8% would be dropped to the community (”community last, wait until day 3”)
7) Went into “self-defense mode” on the TL rather than stating that they’re working on a solution and value community feedback

Arbitrum airdropped over 600,000 users and still managed to give them solid allocations.

Monad airdropped around 230,000 users, which is a much smaller group by comparison.

If Arbitrum could airdrop 600k+ users comfortably, I believe Monad could have done something similar as well.

Even if it was 10k+ tokens for 200k–400k testnet users, it would’ve gone a long way in keeping the early community appreciated and motivated.

It’s not about comparison, but about recognition. People who supported and tested early always form the foundation of any strong ecosystem.
