“Wait a min, udya koni baghitlay..take the picture today” I said to myself as I walked past the blossoms today morning, I meant “udya koni baghitlay” in a deeper sense of the term. I turned back, adjusted my frame and inadvertently caught this Ajoba clicking the picture of the flowers.
I then went to ask him if I could share the picture on social media.
“Kara nakki kara udya paranta he phula komezun jatil!” We exchanged nods in agreement.
I laughed in my head over the irony of my morbid thought about preserving this image over an 84yr old’s views on capturing the beauty of the flowers.
I don’t know if anyone has said this before but it dawned upon me at that moment that while appreciating beauty of nature doesn’t really need company, one can do it by themselves, having someone else even a stranger do it with you adds a whole lot of perspective to the experience.
Also: This picture encapsulates the beauty of Pune. Adhicha Pune is this!
In 2010, Australian teenager Sam Ballard was drinking with his friends when they saw a slug crawl across the floor.
Sam’s friends dared him to eat the slug and after some debate he decided it would be funny, so he did.
A few days later Sam became weak and complained of severe pain in his legs.
After visiting the emergency room doctors told him that he had contracted a parasite known as ‘rat lungworm’ from the slug.
Soon after the diagnosis, Sam fell into a coma, where he remained for 420 days.
He woke up paralyzed, unable to eat without a tube or move without intense effort. He required 24-hour care, seven days a week.
He died 8 years later in 2018.
A hilarious fact of corporate life is that your odds of getting promoted will be higher if you strategically escalate multiple times to your senior management while delivering your team’s goals than if you manage to deliver the very same goals without ever escalating.
On this day in 1687, Sir Isaac Newton publishes Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy), one of the most significant works in the history of science.
The Principia*states Newton's laws of motion, forming the foundation of classical mechanics; Newton's law of universal gravitation; and a derivation of Johannes Kepler's laws of planetary motion (which Kepler had first obtained empirically).
Was dismayed to read about Germany’s police brutality at Lützerath village in January this year.
Protestors accused the police of ‘pure violence,’ & said they had been beaten ‘unrestrainedly, often on the head.’
Indians are taking note of such decline in democratic norms in Europe’s biggest economy with sadness & concern.

Those who were conveniently silent on month long arrest of #KetakiChitale have neither moral nor legal rights to condemn #zubair arrest . Your selective ness robs you off any small window you had . Sleep peacefully .
Ketaki Chitale tastes freedom after spending forty days in jail for forwarding a post critical of Sharad Pawar.
Forty days. Of her life gone. Just like that. And she still has the courage to smile. Bravo.
I strongly believe that all managers in a technical area must be technically excellent.
Managers in software must write great software or it’s like being a cavalry captain who can’t ride a horse!
