An update. Some of the stuff were able to leave Ukraine and working abroad, while the remaining staff is unable to leave but ine process of moving away from the bombing closer to the unaffected areas (for the time being). Please do not send support requests here.
We are trying to keep our current staff employed with Velcom. We feel it's the right thing to do. We will stick with them until this horrible conflict is over. They need our support. Some have left Ukraine and working with us in safety.
Some of sales and support staff has been able to get online the past few days. Please open a ticket if you need to speak to someone, you can ask them to call you. They will get back to you within the business day.
We have been using the same people since 2001. They are our friends as well! Currently they are staying within a bunker. We are praying for the Ukrainian people! Hopefully this can be resolved peacefully.

Due to the aggressive behavior by Russia towards Ukraine, our sales department is currently not available. We are uncertain how much longer Support will be able to provide service as well. We are working on trying to make alternate arrangements.
On October 14th at 12:00, Rogers will be performing maintenance. Service will be disrupted for roughly a duration of 2 hours. 100% traffic loss will occur. If the maintenance window is changed we will post updates here.

@velcomcom 151 front street serves all Rogers customers through out Ontario. From 151 Front our connectivity goes to the Rogers facility. If the connection between 151 Front and Rogers is severed, all our Rogers customer would be impacted. This is what happened.
@velcomcom We could only post updates as new details came in. Most of the time the update was "fiber is being spliced" meaning being patched. We were on stand by requesting updates every hour.
@velcomcom The severe was caused by a construction company from what we understand at this point. They severed 40 fiber lines (again this is information we have at this point). Each fiber had to be patched and tested. It took a bit of time for each repair/testing.
